Sand-Dunes and Pier
The St Annes sand dunes with St. Annes pier in the background - there was also a pier in Lytham - demolished in the 1950's - where a foot passenger ferry service operated to Southport - across the estuary - avoiding a 20 mile drive through Preston - the lowest bridging point of the River Ribble.
